Frederick Steps Up: 2,300+ Diapers and Boundless Generosity at PJs and Prizes

This past Saturday, March 14, the Frederick community gathered for more than just a morning of fun at the PJs and Prizes event. Hosted by our fantastic partners at Basal Therapies & Preschool, the event proved that when local businesses and families align with a shared purpose, the impact is profound.

At Blessed Provisions, our mission is rooted in the belief that hygiene dignity is a right, not a privilege. On Saturday, we saw that mission come to life through a massive collaborative effort.

The Power of Partnership: 2,300 Diapers Collected

We are thrilled to announce that thanks to a coordinated effort across Frederick, we successfully collected over 2,300 diapers and essential hygiene items. This achievement was made possible by the incredible mobilization of our local partners:

• Celebree School (Spring Ridge)
• AstraZeneca
• Common Market Co-Op
• Basal Therapies & Preschool

These items are heading straight to support Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) individuals in our area. For a parent working hard to make ends meet, a steady supply of diapers isn’t just a convenience—it’s a critical resource that ensures their child can attend childcare and they can stay at work.

Immediate Impact: 300 Items Distributed

While we collected for the future, we also served in the present. During the event, we were honored to distribute approximately 300 diapers directly to families on-site at Basal Therapies.

Seeing the relief and gratitude from parents firsthand is a powerful reminder of why these community donation sites are so vital.

Unity Campaign Fundraiser

Blessed Provisions Diaper & Toiletry Bank is participating in the 2026 United Way of Frederick County’s Unity Campaign (March 4-18,2026).  This campaign supports the roughly 1 in 3 Frederick County households (i.e., Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed) struggling to afford basic needs.  The Unity Campaign is an annual fundraiser where the community comes together to support the nonprofits of their choice.
